Why contribute to SYNC PR’s blog

SYNC PR write for us
Who wouldn’t want to write for us after seeing this picture

We have thousands of readers a month that follow our in-depth pieces on the PR, content and general communications industry. It also puts your content right in front of industry leads in Southeast Asia – we don’t muck about – throughout our direct outreach and email campaigns.

We are ranked on page one across multiple markets for really relevant search terms in our industry and we know how to do our SEO. If you’re on this page, chances are that you came through search anyway. We are also open to including a backlink or two in the content, as long as it is relevant and reasonable, so that will help with your domain authority. However, we do request that you keep it relevant and highlight your brand clearly, as we may change resources sometimes and do not want to remove your brand link.

Simple contribution guidelines

Here are some simple guidelines on how to make sure your article makes the cut.

  • Original content: We only publish original content that has not been published anywhere and we know how to use plagarism checkers.
  • Length matters: While we appreciate concise arguments, a 100 word article just doesn’t cut it when it comes to Google’s rather tricky algorithm.
  • We love experiences and real-life examples: Make it personal or share your experience. The goal is to add value to our readers and that means great content that teaches us something is essential.
  • Listicles can work: Hey, everyone loves lists. Just don’t overdo it and try to make it relevant to us.

Simple things to avoid

We have seen enough to know what we definitely do not want, so here’s a shortlist to avoid being completely ignored.

  • Plagarised articles: We have accounts on Copyscape, Grammarly and everything else you can think of. We look at close to 1,000 pieces of content a month, there’s no way we haven’t got our plagarism meters dialled up to a 1,000.
  • Link builders: Guys, we will let you add a do-follow link, just be open about it and read our website first, so we don’t have to go through a bunch of revisions.
  • Poor grammar: We want authenticity and are open to different styles of writing, but there are basic rules to follow – proper spelling, good grammar and a good flow of information.

Key rules for you to write for us

  • Article length: An article should be a minimum of 1,000 words and a maximum of 2,500 words.
  • Language: We follow UK English, so please make sure your contribution uses the UK standard.
  • Trustworthy resources: Embed links to original sources of information (studies, stats, etc.). Wikipedia should be the last resort and not the only reference used.
  • Proofreading and spell-check the document: Our editors are already overworked, so please do us a favour and run your article through spell check. We will reject articles with multiple errors.
  • Photos: If you are submitting an article, please note that original images are required and they must be at least 1200* 675 in size.
  • Author bio: Please include a short bio about yourself, we like to give credit where credit is due. Also, it allows us to pass the blame if we get in trouble.
