Crimson Education launches financial assistance aid, Crimson Access Opportunity (CAO) 2024, to propel exceptional Singaporean students toward academic excellence

  • Applications for CAO 2024 are now open, empowering deserving students to pursue their academic endeavours in the United States through financial support. CAO has supported more than 250 students including securing admissions to 23 Ivy League universities.

SINGAPORE, 5th February 2024 – Crimson Education, a leading university admissions consultancy, proudly announces that the Crimson Access Opportunity (CAO) scheme for 2024 is now open for applications from 1 February. The CAO program is designed to offer underprivileged high-achieving students in Singapore free access to Crimson’s esteemed admissions assistance into top universities in the United States (US).

Studying in the most prestigious universities around the world is no easy feat as reflected in notoriously competitive applications and exceedingly low acceptance rates. To shortlist only the best and most talented students, universities have developed tedious and complex admission processes. With only 19% of Singaporean students fully understanding the tedious construct of applying abroad, there is an ardent need for professional guidance from skilled experts and this is where Crimson Education comes in with efficient teams of former admissions officers from top universities and consultants who graduated from top 30 US universities themselves. Crimson Education alleviates students’ pressure and helps them stand out amidst the cutthroat competition enhancing their admission profile, and increasing their chances of gaining admission by nearly four-fold.

“Crimson Education strongly believes in a world where educational playing fields are levelled, and financial constraints do not hinder deserving students from achieving their academic aspirations,” noted Joanne Gao, Country Manager of Singapore, Crimson Education. “Hence, the Crimson Access Opportunity was launched in 2020 with the commitment to breaking down barriers to a world-class university education in the United States, providing underprivileged yet high-achieving students with unparalleled support. We believe that investing in these bright minds enriches their individual success and supports growing quality talents that can benefit the economy in the long run.”

Since its inception, the Crimson Access Opportunity has proudly supported more than 250 students across 60 countries, including securing admissions into 23 Ivy League schools. The programme has also supported students in applying for financial support, amounting to USD 35 million in 2021 and 2022.

Crimson Access Opportunity bridges aspiration and accessibility for Singaporean students

Crimson Access Opportunity stands as a transformative initiative for students aspiring to leverage Crimson Education’s distinguished admissions support. Through this, underprivileged students receive free personalised guidance and mentorship from our top US university admission experts to enhance their prospects of securing admission to top global universities. This encompasses guidance on developing a balanced school list and a competitive application strategy, along with extensive assistance in brainstorming, editing personal essays, and preparation to stand out during interviews. Additionally, it equips them with the tools to navigate the intricate admissions landscape, fostering inclusivity and equal opportunities. Furthermore, CAO students will also receive expert guidance from a financial aid consultant on how to elevate their chances of securing scholarships.

CAO has seen great success, with students accepted to top universities like Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Brown, University of Chicago, University of California – Berkeley, Duke, Georgia Institute of Technology, Emory, Northeastern, and more! In 2022, CAO students successfully secured four acceptances from the prestigious Harvard University. On top of their successful admittance into these elite schools, CAO students have been offered merit-based scholarships, such as the Robertson Scholarship, Duke’s University Scholars Program, and Vanderbilt’s Chancellor’s Scholarship, to name a few.

In the early round results for 2023 alone, CAO students achieved remarkable success by securing 11 offers to Ivy League institutions, 3 to Stanford, 1 to MIT, and 2 to UChicago, among others. This noteworthy accomplishment underscores the continuous success of the CAO program since its launch in 2020 — a testament to Crimson Education’s unwavering commitment to empowering every student with a quality education.

As Crimson Education opens its doors for this year’s CAO program, the application period starts on 1 February 2024, with the early application deadline set on 1 March, and the final deadline on 1 April. Further details and application guidelines are on the official Crimson Education website.
